Not legal advice
ForeclosureEase, the Foreclosure 101 Playbook, the AI Companion, and all related website content and downloads provide general legal information and organizational support for educational purposes only. They are not legal advice, do not constitute the practice of law, and are not a substitute for advice from an attorney licensed in the state where the property is located.
Using this website, purchasing or reading a Playbook, using the AI Companion, or communicating about a purchase does not create an attorney-client relationship with ForeclosureEase, its publisher, authors, contributors, or anyone associated with the materials.
AI Companion limitations
The AI Companion does not contain state playbooks, monitor a court docket, verify that every uploaded document is complete, calculate a guaranteed deadline, file or serve documents, or guarantee that a caption, title, form, or legal conclusion is correct. It depends on the state guide and case documents the user supplies and on the capabilities of the third-party AI service used.
Artificial-intelligence output can be incomplete, outdated, misunderstood, or wrong. Independently verify every material deadline, filing requirement, court rule, citation, quotation, and factual assumption against filed case records and current official sources before relying on it.
No individualized guidance or outcome guarantee
The materials do not know the facts of your case and cannot tell you what you should do, whether a defense applies, how a judge will rule, whether a sale can be stopped, or whether any particular outcome will occur. Results depend on the facts, documents, timing, applicable law, court orders, and decisions made by third parties.
Laws and procedures change
Foreclosure law varies by state and may also vary by county, court, loan type, property type, and procedural posture. Statutes, rules, government programs, and local practices can change after publication. Confirm current requirements with official sources and a qualified professional before acting.
Deadlines require immediate attention
A summons, complaint, sale notice, eviction paper, appeal notice, or other legal document may contain a deadline that affects your rights. Do not delay action because you are reading the Playbook. Contact a licensed attorney, the court clerk, or a HUD-approved housing counselor promptly when a deadline or sale date is involved.
Not financial, tax, bankruptcy, or credit advice
General discussion of loan modification, bankruptcy, short sales, deficiency balances, taxes, credit reporting, or other financial subjects is not individualized financial, tax, bankruptcy, or credit advice. Consult an appropriately licensed professional about your circumstances.
Accuracy and liability
Reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate information, but no warranty is made that every statement is complete, current, or applicable to a particular situation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForeclosureEase and those associated with the materials are not liable for losses resulting from reliance on or inability to use the materials.
Third-party services
Links to courts, agencies, counselors, payment providers, or other third parties are provided for convenience. ForeclosureEase does not control their content, availability, policies, or services.
